Elements and Performance Criteria

1. Conclude mission
   • Mission data is recorded and documented, in accordance with organisational procedures
   • Mission debriefing is conducted and documentation is provided, in accordance with organisational procedures
   • Effectiveness of mission is evaluated, in accordance with organisational procedures
2. Prepare and plan for collection of intelligence
   • Briefing is obtained about mission, in accordance with organisational procedures
3. Data applicable to the proposed mission is collected from relevant personnel and organisations
4. Intelligence resource kit is prepared based on mission requirements
5. Aircraft or vehicle is obtained and pilot or driver is briefed about the mission, in accordance with organisational procedures
6. Information about the mission including potential or actual hazards is identified
7. Mission planning is undertaken, in accordance with organisational procedures utilising relevant data
8. Safety briefing is obtained, in accordance with organisational procedures
9. Collect and record information
   • Target locations are confirmed with applicable personnel and organisations
10. Site and en route hazards are identified, in accordance with organisational procedures
11. Incident intelligence information is identified and collected, as tasked
12. Information concerning the impact and status of selected incident strategies and tactics is collected
13. Data collected is recorded and documented, in accordance with organisational procedures
14. Review information collected
    • Data collected is reviewed for currency and relevance to ongoing operational activities
15. Data gaps are identified for further intelligence gathering
16. Data is organised to meet the needs of its audience
17. Send and receive incident information
    • Information about target area is accurately communicated within required timeframes to mission personnel, in accordance with organisational procedures
18. Received information and instructions are acted upon, in accordance with organisational procedures and regulatory authority requirements
    • Mission data is recorded and documented, in accordance with organisational procedures
19. Mission debriefing is conducted and documentation is provided, in accordance with organisational procedures
20. Effectiveness of mission is evaluated, in accordance with organisational procedures
